Song of the day: Pet- The Perfect Circle.

Quote of the day: Swingin' to the rhythm of the new world order and counting bodies like sheep to the rhythm of the war drums =) Can't get any better than that. Yes,that is from Pet- The Perfect Circle. I REALLY like that song today. One in the same I must isolate you, isolate and save you from yourself.

What I'm thinking about: How graveyards can inspire interesting discussions >=)

What I should be doing: Writing Sweet Corruption. I'm taking a slight break from Frozen.

Ok, So I'm posting right now because I'm bored. Yep.

I just read Wolfsbane by Andrea Cremer. It was amazing. I'm starving for Bloodrose now.

And Damon, because I haven't posted any pictures of him in a good long time and I miss TVD

Ok, so what's happened since I last posted:
~I got a tan. Shocking. I still look washed out.
~I started making a movie. Yep. I pretty much follow my sister around with a camera. It's going to either be the most amazing thing ever or it's going to suck.
~My dog got fat. She's been eating too many cookies since my other dog passed away T-T and she went through a picky phase so she started getting human food mixed in with her dog food.
~I got a Damon poster 0-0
~I've planned a vacation to St. Petersburg, Florida. It'll be the first time my family's gone since I was three.
More than half of my family lives there 0-0 I'm going to take a bajillion pictures
~I've run out of things to say...

So, right now I'm writing Sweet Corruption (Deadly Design 2) I still plan on finishing Frozen before the summer is over, but right now I don't know how to finish it so I'm holding off until I figure it out. But it's sitting pretty at 68k. Actually, Sweet Corruptions about that long too. Maybe a little less.

So.... that's it. I told you I had nothing important to say (I think...) so yep. I'll probably post a Thursday excerpt tomorrow, if I remember. Laters =)

Happy Fourth of July =D Sister's Red Book review

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY, PEEPS!!!!!

Yeah ^-^ It took me like 2 minutes to do, um, that ^ so I'm going to copy and paste my book review off goodreads. Sorry, I'm a lazy butt. But I'll add onto it.

Sisters Red- Jackson Pearce
(Cool cover, right? I thought so)

"Scarlett March lives to hunt the Fenris—the werewolves that took her eye when she was defending her sister Rosie from a brutal attack. Armed with a razor-sharp hatchet and blood-red cloak, Scarlett is an expert at luring and slaying the wolves. She’s determined to protect other young girls from a grisly death, and her raging heart will not rest until every single wolf is dead.

Rosie March once felt her bond with her sister was unbreakable. Owing Scarlett her life, Rosie hunts fiercely alongside her. Now Rosie dreams of a life beyond the wolves and finds herself drawn to Silas, a young woodsman who is deadly with an ax—but loving him means betraying her sister and has the potential to destroy all they’ve worked for."

This book had an epic chance to fail; there were only three main characters that were consistants in the story, and that means you have less wiggle room with characters. Throw in the fact that they're all working toward the same goal and that two of them think the same way, and you're bound to get a boring story.

This book, however, stayed consistantly interesting. I loved all the main characters, different as they may be, and in this case I actually liked the sqitch perspective; Ms. Pierce handled it very well. To be honest, I expected it to be fairytale like. I was (obliviously) suprised to see it was a modern retelling of Little Red Riding Hood, in a way, though I shouldn't have been- it's even called Sister's red. So this would be Red Riding Hood if Red had a sister she was willing to die for to protect and a hot partner to help her take out the werewolves. I normally dislike seeing my Lycans thrown in a bad light, but they were delightful bad guys and I didn't really mind all that much. The way they distinguished different packs was very interesting.

The only reason this didn't get a [8] star was because part of it was supposed to be a big shocker and I guessed it within the first 30 pages. So the end was kind of 'mleh' for me, but through no real fault of the authors. It just didn't surprise me like it was designed to.

However, it was a very interesting read =) And, in case you were wondering, Scarlett was a total bad@$$ Highly recomended

Anyways, that's pretty much all I did today besides get some killer pictures of fireworks I'm too lazy to upload >.< I have a headache, probably from watching things explode right in my face. Very intertaining, but painful.

For those of you who still give a monkey's uncle what I'm writing and working on, I'm still running strong with Frozen =) 54k now. I hope to finish it by summer, and it will be the first book I've ever finished that isn't remotely Darkest Ebony related <3 I'm so happy with it. I love Camilla ^-^ I'll probably post a few excerpts soon, just for the heck of it.

Oh, and while I'm on my blog anyways, I have a new project I'm brooding over ^-^"' I'm still finishing Frozen and probably Remember (My demon project, if you... recall XD) first, but I have a new idea playing about. I think it's going to be called Specter. I'll let your imaginations handle the rest ;)

Peace, Love, and Vampires Dairies, peeps =)
