Double- No, not rainbow =P Book review!!! *chibi peace sign*

Slightly modified this time ^-^ There were some things I forgot to add

*Some slight spoilers this time*

~13 to Life- Shannon Delany~

Something strange is stalking the small town of Junction…
When junior Jess Gillmansen gets called out of class by Guidance, she can only presume it’s for one of two reasons. Either they’ve finally figured out who wrote the scathing anti-jock editorial in the school newspaper or they’re hosting yet another intervention for her about her mom. Although far from expecting it, she’s relieved to discover Guidance just wants her to show a new student around—but he comes with issues of his own including a police escort.
The newest member of Junction High, Pietr Rusakova has secrets to hide--secrets that will bring big trouble to the small town of Junction—secrets including dramatic changes he’s undergoing that will surely end his life early.

Pitch:
Meh, I thought it was ok. Not great.
☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼

Plot: Actually, it was pretty good. Werewolves totally WEREN'T the main focus, but it was a pretty good story anyways ;) There, that was the end of the minimal spoilers. PIETR IS A WEREWOLF. If you didn't happen to guess from the wolves in the first chapter and the full freaking moon on the cover. Sorry, that was bitter. I took a math midterm today.
☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼

Pacing: The pacing was excelent =) Some places were a little quick, but there wasnt really a moment I'd call dull
☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼

Characters: They were pretty good =) There was very little development for the side characters, but the characters you did get to know were pretty cool (Especialy Pietr *coughcough*) They were very original, certainly. You either loved them or hated them. Or wished they got more than six lines of dialogue in the entire book despite the fact they were in every other scene =)
☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼

Character names: I felt it was important to add this, because I keep choosing books with WTH names lately. In general, the names were pretty good. I just wish she hadn't maimed the name Peter so it was spelled Pietr. At least she recognised it was a dumb spelling though...
☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼

Originality: It was VERY original. This is got to be the first werewolf book I've read that didn't focus on mah homies. And it involved the Rusian Mafia, which I haven't had the pleasure to stumble across yet. So yep, A+ for 13 to Life on Originality
☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼

Cover: Meh, it's not bad. Personally, I think I could do better, but it actually displays a scene (you know, minus the giant hovering eye) so it's cool.
☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼

Setting: Pretty good =) She didn't really describe the places we were in, but all the important ones were pretty vivid. Definitely a plus.
 ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼

Writing Style: Pretty good. It was captivating while reading, but when you went back she was definitely a fan of run on sentences. There were places where it got a little hard to understand what she was talking about too.
☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼

Imagery and attention to detail: Pretty good job =) There were little, unimportant things dabbled here and there, but I really like that in a story.
☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼

Title: Great! I haven't come across a 13 to life, and it fits =)
☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼

Overall sunshiny rating:  ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼

Is it worth the read: Yeah, I think so. It's not super-paranormal, but it was a good read and you'll LUFF Pietr. If his name doesnt annoy you to the point where you slap him. I'll definitely be reading the next book, which comes out Febuary 15th.

~Hush, Hush- Becca Fitzpatric~

For Nora Grey, romance was not part of the plan. She's never been particularly attracted to the boys at her school, no matter how much her best friend, Vee, pushes them at her. Not until Patch came along. With his easy smile and eyes that seem to see inside her, Nora is drawn to him against her better judgment.
But after a series of terrifying encounters, Nora's not sure who to trust. Patch seems to be everywhere she is, and to know more about her than her closest friends. She can't decide whether she should fall into his arms or run and hide. And when she tries to seek some answers, she finds herself near a truth that is way more unsettling than anything Patch makes her feel.
For Nora is right in the middle of an ancient battle between the immortal and those that have fallen - and, when it comes to choosing sides, the wrong choice will cost her life.

Pitch:
Pretty good =) Hooked me (not that that's hard to do for a book...)
☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼

Plot: Not the Twilight-knock-off regurgitate I expected. I actually couldn't put it down *rubs back of head*
☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼

Pacing: It was ok. It stayed interesting, but Becca had a thing for putting Patch in every scene. You know how you should have some control and give the MC time without the guy they're supposed to fall in love with? Becca forgot that part.
☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼

Characters: They were delightful =) Especially Patch *huggles* Nora was ok too, I guess... hmm.
☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼

Character names: GAH, NO. THE NEW RULE OF WRITING IS 'THOUGH SHALL NOT NAME THEIR MC AFTER THEIR DEAD DOG". Ok, that was mean, sorry Patch. But your name sucks. Nora's and Vee's aren't much better.
☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼

Originality: Like I said earlier, it wasn't as bad as I'd heard it would be. There were actually little things that suprised me. ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼

Cover: I LOVE it <3 It's totally NOT what I think Patch looks like, but it's a superfreaking awesome none the less. If only authors could remember capitalization on their covers. First twilight, now this. CAPITILIZATION, PEEPS
☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼

Setting: Meh, it was ok. She didn't go into huge detail.
 ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼

Writing Style: I didn't catch any super-lameness. No complains =)
☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼

Imagery and attention to detail: No comment. Not because it's good or bad- I just have nothing to say about it.
☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼

Title: =P Unless I missed something, she picked the title because it's never been used. It makes no sense.
☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼

Overall sunshiny rating:  ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼

I actually really liked it =) Patch was AWESOME (once you got past his stupid name. She might have been better off with Rover) and it was a good laugh. Not something you need to drop everything and go buy, but it's certainly worth the read.

I'll do a real blog... LATAH!!!

What I should be doing right now: Um.... making cookies. I want a cookie. Yes ^-^

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So, If you've inkpopped today, you'd know there's been a (scary/hilarious) glitch on Inkpop where we end up logged on as each other. It was sooooooo funny. But it was scary too. I wanted to spend at least 2 minutes as The Donut, Autumn, Zoey, Lexie, Kelly, or someone of the like. I didn't get to. I was so terribly disapointed I got stuck being me. But I got to be RetroPlaid for a second (that was cool) and hey, it's pretty good to be me today.
Why, you ask. Well, I have a bunch of reasons.
~I finally entered ABNA. Granted, I'm probably going to become nerotic, but whatever.
~DAMON, mi amore, comes back on TV(D) tonight. I think I'm going to faint now *procedes to faint*
(Damn it all. If Elena doesn't want him, I do. {I concur} )
...
Oh, right, I'm in the middle of a blog. Pike down,  Fallon.  Anyways, Damon comes back tonight. Enough to make anyones life awesome, no?
~It's a snow day here. Five inches baby, five. Inches. Awesome, isnt it? I took pictures, but I haven't uploaded them yet so I'll post them.. later XD
~Four days until Paradox and Night Child (My two favorite inkpop books EVER) Go through the top five. I think I'm going to explode just because of the sheer awesomeness.
~That's all.
~Oh, wait, I forgot to say Damon again. There. My day just got awesomer.
So... still no word on the new blog, if that's why you're reading. We're working things out this weekend :D So yep.
Damon/Elena videos of the day (which I might start adding at the top ;)
Tell me, would you kill Jesse's girl
...
LOL, They're two different songs. But I got you there, didn't I? No. Ahh, too bad. Anyways, blog over and out...
OH WAIT, IT'S THURSDAY!!!!! So....
~Frozen Excerpt~
The instant he saw me, relief shone in his eyes. “Camilla, thank goodness.”
Raines had recently turned a new fledgling. She must be his. Aww hell.
He rambled on, looking relieved. “You’ll explain to them, won’t you? You’ll explain that she didn’t actually mean to kill them. You’ll convince them to let her live?”
I frowned, my eyes turning to the girl. “No can do, Raines. I’m sorry.”
Instantly, his jaw popped open. I wasn't here to save his girl; I was the executioner. “Camilla, please.”
“There’s nothing I can do,” I told him, moving in sleek predatory steps toward her. Her eyes, a light brown, stared back at me in confusion. I gave her a reassuring smile; I was old enough that, whether she’d want to or not, she’d instantly trust me. I was the third in command; it was my job to protect her.
Until she failed me.
My hands came up around her neck, my thumbs brushing her jawline. For a moment, her eyes widened in confusion. Raines was still begging in the back ground. I turned her head sharply.
With a single, pure sound, her neck snapped. Vampires were stronger than most people, but another vampire was strong enough to kill them in mortal ways. Her lifeless body crumpled in my arms, and Raines gave a loud, broken sound, brushing past me to pick her up. He cradled the limp body in his arms, not seeming to notice the blood smeared across her lips.
Then, with glassy eyed with tears he couldn’t shed, he looked up at me and mouthed ‘why?’
My heart ached; I could feel his pain. It emanated off him in waves that slicked over my skin and ripped through me to the core. Damn it, I should’ve sent him out of here.
Maybe it was the pain that made all the rational thought in my head vanish. I took a step forward, crouching in front of him. “Listen to me!” I snapped. “Love doesn’t last. It doesn’t. This is for you own good.”
He wouldn’t meet my gaze, instead staring down at the dead girl in his arms. “You’re wrong.”
I stood, face expressionless, and looked down at the two of them. Because this was what I did. I killed people, no matter how hard I tried. Because it was what I’d been designed for.
Because, in the scheme of things, the heroine wasn't my role. There would be no great change for me, no matter what I did.
I was Edge’s monster.
Nothing more.
So yeah. Frozen goes on Inkpop Feb. 13th, if you're interested ;) It happens to be my Inkpop aniversary too! Anyways, Peace, Love (Damon), and Vampire Diaries peeps!!!!
BOOK REVIEW: Paranormalcy by Kiersten White
Ok, so this is my first ever book review ;)  Forgive me if it's lame.
NO SPOILERS INCLUDED
~Paranormalcy- Kiersten White~
"Evie’s always thought of herself as a normal teenager, even though she works for the International Paranormal Containment Agency, her ex-boyfriend is a faerie, she’s falling for a shape-shifter, and she’s the only person who can see through paranormals’ glamours.
But Evie’s about to realize that she may very well be at the center of a dark faerie prophecy promising destruction to all paranormal creatures.
So much for normal. "
Pitch: You vote for yourself, of course, but I thought it was pretty awesome ;) Especially the last line.
☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼
Plot: Fantastic =) There are some books where they just don't live up to the pitch. This was most definitely not one of them.
☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼
Pacing: A-maz-ing. Kiersten kept it rolling from the start, and it never slowed down- I don't mean this as in she never gave the reader a break, but she didn't have any of those dragging places that seem to last forever and ever.
☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼
Characters: My first reaction was "What. The. Hell. Did. She. Do. To. Their. Names?" Between having Lend-me-your-face Lend and Reth and Lish, I was ready to shoot myself. But their personalities won out in the end, and I can't say there was a character I didnt love by the end. So, despite the fact that Kiersten can't name characters to save her life, they rocked.
☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼
Originality: It was very refreshing. There were some places where she fell into the easy way out, but all things considered I don't think I could've done any better. And who am I to judge, besides the reviewer? So yeah, pretty good =)
☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼
Cover: YES!!!!! It's hard to tell from the picture, but in the real cover the words shimmer. It was pretty neat. And the cover is actually relevant, so...
☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼
Setting: Meh. She did ok. For a part of the book they were in Virginia and I was like HECK YEAH, THAT'S MY STATE PEEPS. And she didn't mention the sceneary at all. I was sooooooo disapointed. And she only mentioned the center's looks in passing. Though the places she set things were cool, so...
☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼
Writing Style: OH YEAH!!! She has a fantastic writing style =) There were some books I've read where the writing just wasn't there; one of the suckish things about being a writer is when book series you love become (pardon) crappy because you actually disect the writing itself and realize they have no actual writing skill at all, just a wonderful storyline. But Kiersten kept it interesting, and I actually found a few places where it hurt laughing.
☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼
Overall sunshiny rating:  ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼
Is it worth the read: Most definitely =) I LOVED this book, and I couldn't put it down. You know, minus when I found something that looked like a dead spider crushed in the quarner of one of the pages. But I think I might buy a spider-less copy for my permanant collection.
Anyways, it's definitely worth the time!!!!!
Blog-reader peeps, I have failed you T_T
Song of the day: Howl- Florence and the Machine Homies, that be my theme song. It's about werewolves. ;) And I'm the Lycanthrope. It's my job to represent all things werewolf or remotely Lycanthropic. It's what they're going to pay me to do oneday.
Quote of the day: “Love sought is good, but given unsought, is better.” ~ Shakespeare. Meh, what can I say, I was in a Shakespeare mood today 8)
Thoughts: IMA NEED MORE COFFEE HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE
What I should be doing right now: Erm..... writing? Reading? Studing for my stupid Math midterm tomorrow? Really, what do you want me to put here.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hmm. I failed you peeps yesterday. I forgot to blog *flails* Oh well. You prolly didnt even notice 'till I mentioned it. Aren't you all heartbroken?

I am. It's been too long without my Damon. But he comes home (*coughBackonTVcough*) on Thursday, so I will once again smile and relish in sunshine. For the... oh, wait, sorry about the poetic garbage. I'm trying to write a song. Why, you ask? Because my mom thinks my poetry is awesome (I'm not a fan, personally) and thinks I'd make a decent songwriter. So I'm brooding over one. I think I'm calling it Scarlet Forget-me-nots. Don't ask me why *shrugs* I dunno yet. But it's going to dark *smiles* just like the essense of my soul...

*Clears throat* Anyways, I'm entering ABNA tonight. I was too lazy yesterday. And I'm signing up for next years classes.

OH, AND GUESS WHAT?????? I ACTUALLY HAVE SOMETHING IMPORTANT TO SAY!!!!!!
I'm starting a blog with Autumn (Whentherainfalls), Zoey (Seattlelover7), and Peyton (RetroPlaid) from Inkpop. It's gonna be kick@$$ epic. We're going to be awesome! Well, they're going to be awesome and I'm gonna blog about Damon somemore. That's what I do 8) Oh, and I drink TOO MUCH COFFEE HEHEHE.

But I is sad. Because, not only did I drink two cups of coffee today and therefore run out, but I also ran out of my drug stash. By that, I mean I'm out of Peppermint Mocha creamer. NOW I HAVE TO USE MILK EEEEEWWWWWWWW. So Ima rob the store tonight. No, not really. I don't have time to go to jail. YOU CAN'T WATCH TVD IN JAIL AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

So Ima stay home and write. Because I sure as hell 'aint writing on Thursday. I'll be too busy screaming like a lovestruck teenage girl and rambling on about my amore. Salvatore, as in Savior ;) Go read the books if you haven't. And read about Jace too.

Btw, Alex Pettyfer is (probably, he hasnt accepted yet) going to be Jace. He's awesome enough (though, I must say, not as awesome as Ian ;) , so long as they don't jack up my movie. I will be angry if they do. Then I'll find real Jace and we'll keel them all.

Oh, but guess what? Apparently werewolves were in style. And no one told me. Now they've moved on to were-tigers. Damn it all. Sorry, I'm too hyper today. Hyperness tends to make my dialogue colorful. But WHY DON'T PEOPLE TELL ME THESE THINGS. I NEED A PUBLISHER, 'ALL. Anyways, rant, and blog, over and out.

I think I might go prematurely gray

Song of the day: Starry eyed- Ellie Goulding. But that was the song of the day yesterday, soooooooooo Wait for You - Elliott Yamin

Quote of the day: "Substitute "damn" every time you're inclined to write "very;" your editor will delete it and the writing will be just as it should be." ~Mark Twain. I laughed so hard the first time I read this. And I feel like writing damn in my manuscript every three seconds.

Thoughts: HAHAHA THE LIGHTNING DUDE IS KINDA CREEPY AHHHHHHHHH
Hmm. Camilla and Ian and Edge are going to stab my guts out. And 'den they're going to laugh. Becaues I'm not writing about them this exact second (obviously, Jordan, you're blogging. At least you didn't put me in it today.)

What I should be doing right now: Um... studying for midterms? Writing Frozen? I finished editing <3 so I have nothing to do </3

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I FINISHED EDITING DARKEST EBONY AND IT FEELS OH SO GOOD!!!!!
Oh, right. No one cares. Sooooo.....
So.... pretty much loafed around today. Had an emotion brokedown and cried for no apparent reason. Got over it. Ate a cupcake. You know, the usual. I think I might be minimally bipolar. Wouldn't surprise me.
Today is Izzy's birthday :D She just turned 3. I remember when she was a little baby dog. She screamed whenever anyone picked her up. Now she just yells at me when I hug her XD
We took her to PetSmart so she could pick out her present. She sat on me and almost ate this lady's little rat dog.
Oh, and that was after we watched some guy drive straight down the street and crash head on into another car. He was texting, I think XD They were both fine. But the lady was kind of angry; she tried to break into his car and started kicking it. Poor Woman with her dented red car and anger issues.
And when I got home I watched Mortal Kombat. It's a totally ninja movie from 1995 if you haven't heard/seen it. And yes, I know I spelled Kombat with a K. That's how the movie spells it 0_o
The god dude with lightning eyes creeped me out a bunch of times. And I made fun of the ending for like 20 minutes after it ended. My family is watching Anastasia now. I want to see it, but I don't have time right now T_T XD I'll just watch it during World History tomorrow.
Oh, right. I said I was going to go prematurely gray, didn't I? Yeah, as it turns out, ABNA starts tomorrow. I'm going to pull my hair out from suspense, if it doesnt go gray first. Which sucks, because I'm only 14. So I'm going to enter tomorrow and crash n' fail. Awesome, isn't it?
Oh (again), and before I end my blog I read Falling by Daediel today. It was AWESOME. You need to read it NOW. It's about werewolves. But it doesn't focus on the werewolves. It's hard to explain. Just. Go. Read. It. (The title is a link, bwt)
Oh, and FOUR MORE DAYS TO DAMON!!!!! Erm, I mean, Vampire Diaries!!!!! YES!!!!
So yeah. Peace, Love, and Vampire Diaries everyone!!!! ;)
Saturday, January 22, 2011
AHHHHHHHH
Song of the day: Starry eyed- Ellie Goulding
Quote of the day: "A synonym is a word you use when you can't spell the other one." ~Baltasar Gracián. Dude, that's practically the meaning of my entire life 0_0
Thoughts: AHHHHH TOO MUCH EDITING TO DO!!!!!! I'VE STILL GOT THREE CHAPTERS TO GO AND I'VE ONLY GOTTEN TWO IN THE LAST FOUR HOURS AHHHHHH!!!!! I'M SUCH A LOUSY EDIT-ER AHHHHHHHAHAHAHAHAHA. Heh. Faaaaaaaaaaaallon got dumped. (*kicks Jordan in the shin*) "Hit hit hit hit hit me with lighting. Say Oh Oh. Oh Oh, everybody's starry eyed. Oh, starry eyed. Look what you've done- it's like you've hit me with lightning" <- Zat be the song of the day, BTW :D
I need coffee T_T XD :D XP
What I should be doing right now: Editing chapta' 19 Poor Fallon's having a bad day; I'm going over the part where he dumped her bada$$, mean self for Kyri.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Yep. Still editing. Day twenty or something. Which is sad, 'cause there's only 21 chapters. And an epilogue. *sigh* I'm so lazy.

Nothing important to post today, so I'll probably just talk about my book and the fact that FREAKING ABNA STARTS TOMORROW OMG I'M SO FREAKING NERVOUS. Ok, done with panic attack.
I shall live though *fistpump*

Do you know why? Because TVD COMES BACK IN FIVE DAYS OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG DAMON'S COMING BACK OH YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!! I THINK IMA GONNA DIE WAITING FOR THURSDAY!!!!!

And that, my friends, is the Damon Salvatore smirk; killing women since 1992. Or at least giving them a heart attack.

But, since I'm such a lousy editer, I need to go edit now. T_T I shall be back... later!!! *flys away to get coffee*

Friday, January 21, 2011

I made a video of my dog eating an apple 0_0 and then put it on YouTube.

Song of the day: It's amazing- Jem (Ok, so it's still Like a g6 too)

Quote of the day: "It took me fifteen years to discover I had no talent for writing, but I couldn't give it up because by that time I was too famous. " ~Robert Benchley

Thoughts: Dang it. I still have three chapters to edit today T_T

What I should be doing right now: Editing chapta' 16. This one's not so bad. Nioki finally gets Kyri to admit that she loves Leo like the rest of us ;) Us being Me and Fallon, of course. Maybe Leo's mom. Still undecided.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So, like I said, I filmed my dog eating an apple. She doesnt this weird thing with her front teeth like she's eating it like people do. It's funny to watch :D
Anyways, I got bored and didn't feel like editing. So I convinced my sister to get some footage of me feeding my dog an apple. Then I made a video out of it and, for reasons unknown, put it on my YouTube account 0_0. If you want to see it, click here.
So... I should be editing. But I'm Lazy. Darkest Ebony is a beast of a manuscript -_- I almost wish I'd left it at 60k rather than 110k.  Then I'd be done editing now and I could actually write Frozen. Which would be nice, because Camilla and Ian and Edge aren't getting enough attention. Not to mention Atearu and Kendon and Antigora (Survivor) and Pierce and Morgan and Charlotte/Gwendolyn (Starski) and Kodiak and Seth and Anita (Deadly Design) and Elegance... yeah, you get the point.
And on top of that, I might start a project about Selkies. Interesting little devils ;)
Anyways, since I am afterall supposed to be editing, I must go now. But first, I have to tell you about this cool Inkpop book I read about *checks invisible watch* ten minutes ago. It's called For the love of Sam and Eva by Scarlet Dawn. If you haven't read it, give it a look ;) I think, from what I've read so far, it might just be worth the time.
Anyways, later peeps!!!
Thursday, January 20, 2011
I hate today =P
So, since I have work to get done, I'm not completing this blog post the way I intended to. The quote of the day (you know, since it's totally perfect for today) is "If my doctor told me I had only six minutes to live, I wouldn't brood. I'd type a little faster." ~Isaac Asimov. Wonderful quote, Isaac. I'd like to say I'd do the same.
Ok, so I had a doctor's appointment. They shoved metal tubes with cameras up my nose and took turns looking at my sinus cavilaries. Don't get me wrong, they're great doctors and they're really helping me, but I'm totally a lab rat for them. They bring in every single trainee to take a look at me and put me on a billion new drugs and take tissue samples to disect. So yeah, not a good day. And then I had to spend two hours working on spanish with a crappy translator. >_<
Anyways, I'm not letting it ruin my first Thursday Excerpt. So you can stop listening to me complain now (if anyone's even following...)
~Frozen Excerpt~
A flicker of motion caught the corner of my eye. Three big, burly guys were holding a slimmer guy to the wall. “Alright, Casey, listen up. If you don’t come back to Mr. Fowler soon, bad things are going to happen.”
One of the guys had pulled his fist out and looked like he intended to give his prisoner a punch to the face. I wasn't fond of bullies. Bullying was a sign of insecurity.
It appeared it was time for me to make some people feel insecure.
In a heartbeat, I was across the street and in the alley beside the bar. One of the guys had enough time to look up before I kneed him in the gut. He flew back and hit a wall, then fell to the ground with a stunned looking expression. I turned on the other two, resisting the urge to crack my knuckles. The remaining two turned to look at me with wide eyes. “Wha-”
Within the span of a heartbeat, I crouched. I didn’t need to, but I could get a lot more power with a spring start. Then I pushed off the ground, flying at him and tackling him to the ground. The instant his head cracked against the pavement, I turned on the remaining guy. Eyes wide open, he turned and scrambled out of the alley. I rose and stepped away from the guy who’d been my second victim.
Now, to deal with the guy who’d seen too much. When I turned around, he was staring at me with wide, average brown eyes that matched his hair. “Wow.”
“Yeah, yeah, whatever.”
“What?” he asked with a shrug, looking a little too calm for comfort. Then he grinned at me. “It’s not every day that the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen saves my life.”
Saved his life, eh? All it looked like was I’d saved his face. “I don’t like flattery.”
He arched one eyebrow. “Well, that’s a first.”
“So,” I said, giving him a good look up and down and choosing not to respond to his statement. “Your name’s Casey?”
He threw me a grin. “Nope. Ian Casey.”
The name isn't supposed to mean anything to you yet, just in case you were wondering. Whoever you happen to be.... Anyways, if you read, thanks for reading! Until next Thursday :D (Which is the day TVD comes back. YAY!)
Wednesday, January 19, 2011
Ima just be dead now, kay?
Song of the day: Like a g6- I dunno who sings it. Actually, I'm kind of suprised it's my song of the day. Not my usual kind of thing, you know?
Quote of the day: "It is impossible to discourage the real writers - They don't give a damn what you say, they're going to write." ~Sinclair Lewis
Thoughts: Must use the right form of there in the future. It's a pain in the butt to edit. I'll have to get some work today... well, after I blog. But before I die, for sure.
What I should be doing right now: Editing chapta' 13. I likeh this one. I was beating up on Kyri and she spent the hole thing in the hospital. Which shouldn't amuse me, but Kyri needed some abuse. She was being WHINY and LAME LIKE ELENA D:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Why 'Ima just be dead now' is 'cause editing is keeling me. Literally. I've edited.... about 5,000 words today. And I feel like flopping on the floor and dying. Or maybe just taking a nice long nap :D Both sound charming at the moment.

The magic of my (n)Ice Day melted and I had to go back to school. Which stunk. Best friend made fun of me in front of a bunch of kids and now half my bus thinks I'm mentally retarted. Go figure. And I had Spanish and I'm supposed to be studying for midterm. But I probably won't, so I might fail. That would stink.

But, Ima think on the bright side :D The Amazon Breakthough Novel Award is only 4 days away (way to be 'bright', Jordan. You're going to miss all our deadlines [shut up Fallon]) and I'm (mildly *sigh*) close to being done editing! For the last time! Yay!!!!!!!! I made a new DE cover too :D I luvvles this one soooooo much. See the full moon thingy in the E? I'm so proud ;)

So yes. I'm proud :D Oh, and I made a couple of new covers for Frozen too.

If you like one of these the best ^ , feel free to tell me in a comment (or not, that's super too).

Anyways, I thought I'd post an excerpt today. You know, thought it would be cool. Then I remembered that I didn't write anything today, so I changed my mind. Instead, I shall post an excerpt tomorrow! And, quite possibly, start posting them every Thursday. You know, since Thursdays are good days (Damon days too!!!) so yep. Expect one from Frozen tomorrow ;)

That's all I have to say. TTFN and Happy writing everyone!

(N)ice day :D

Song of the day: The Remedy: Jazon Mraz (If you got the poison, I got the Remedy <3

Quote of the day: "Behind every great man is a giant cup of coffee."- Meh, someone probably said it besides me.

Thoughts: I need coffeeeeeeeeee... I guess I can blog first...

What I should be doing right now: Editing =P

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It's too darn early in the morning to be blogging, but I don't care! Guess what? It's a ice day here *happy dances* The roads are tooooooo icy for the school bus to come take me to the torture house. So, instead of suffering in silence, I'm telling you all about nothing important! But isn't that what blogs are for? Yay! (*sigh* I need Coffee)
So... I'm going to roleplay today. For the first time in *checks watch* Like, five months. I'm going to be soooooooo behind. And lost. Most probably lost. But, I love mah roleplay buddies, as out of touch as we may be, so I'm going back. To the origin of my epic-fail writing style; Lupa De Wulf!
*Listening to Breaking the Habit-Linkin Park* Oh, right, this is my second blog post. I should probably make it count. Erm... Damon? Yay! I need coffee. Huh.
So... while I was supposed to be editing last night, I was actually working on my new book, Frozen :D It's gonna be cool, even if it's about (please don't hate me) vampires. 'Cause it's different. So there.
The pitch, if you're interested:
~Frozen~
I’m not a big fan beating around the bush, so I’m going to tell this to you straight. No pretenses.
I’m a vampire.
If you just thought of popular literature these days, go die. I mean it. I burn in the daylight, I don’t sparkle, and I certainly don’t eat animals. That’s nasty. So yeah, no.
Camilla has spend the last 172 years being a vampire. 172 years of being stuck under the thumb of coven leader, Edge, with his flirtish antics and unbearable crowd. Oh, and don't forget the mind control. For a loner, it sucks to be one of the oldest.
But old doesnt mean experienced. Especially not with Ian. The human that, for some reason in his idiotic skull, isnt afraid of vampires. Or Camilla, for that matter. And if she doesnt scare the hell (and courage) out of him soon, they're both as good as dead. Or, in Camilla's case, double dead.
So yes, I'm super psyked about this one :D 'Gonna be awesome. I've got... 3, 406 words done so far :D It'll probably be on Inkpop within the week. Depending on when Zoey's on =)
Anyways, I've got writing (and editing =P) to do, so I shall blog... tomorrow!
So...I started a blog.
Kyle told me to. And he's the master of all. Including Space. He's an Astronaut.
So I've been meaning to start a blog for a while. Not that anyone cares, you know, but I needed a place to dump morbid thoughts. And ideas, don't forget the ideas. They're very muy important.
If you're reading this, it's probably because you got a link from me. In which case, you know I'm a writer. A psycotic one with an alter-ego named Fallon at that.
If you were wondering (and didn't already know), Darkest Ebony is my main book. Hence why it's the link adress whatchamacallit. I love that book to death, and if you so much as bring it up you'll never be able to get me off the topic. Especially if you mention Leo or Fallon. Or Cy. Or Kyri. Or anyone else I love to death.
So... I'm posting a little about me. I'm Jordan :D I have an alter ego named Fallon. If I introduce myself as Fallon, run for your life and scream. She's a werewolf psychomurderer.
Um... I adore music. Like, a lot. I have a new favorite song every day. I probably like any band you like. Feel free to ask me :D Oh, and I LOVE DAMON SALVATORE. And Jace from Mortal Instruments :D Sooooooo much.
I'm introverted, so I have no real friends. Yep, tragically sad. But I have lotsa Inkpop friends that I luvvles to death. Mah Inkpop buddies are Zoey (Seattlelover7), Kelly (Kelly Moton), Autumn (When the rain falls), Lexie (Lex Born) and lotsa other people that are escaping my brain with its too short attention span. Feel free to remind me and I'll attempt to update this list. I don't know if I can... hmm.
So... I'm running out of things to say. Besides Damon again. I'll come up with more later. And expect a lot of mention of Isabella, my dog. I talk about her a lot.
Peace, Love, and Vampire Diaries all!
